Ever since I was a little kid, I've always seemed to get along with old people. Granted, "old people" or "old folks" are loaded terms - they mean very different things to many different people.
In this context, I guess I mean retirees and people in nursing homes. I recently visited my grandmother in a nursing home / rehabilitation center, and it reminded me of how wonderful our elders are. As I grow old, I hope to be able to share with younger generations all that I've learned, and learn from them about the wonderful new world they are creating.
I'm writing this blog to share with the world my thoughts about aging, and growing old in general. To start, I'll say what I always say to people when they say that they are getting old: "we're all getting old at the same rate".
